Sacred Feminine Rage

%FIRSTNAME%,

I received this newsletter from Camille at EarthDaughters.org, and it spoke to me so strongly and felt so relevant that I had to directly copy-and-paste - sorry, plagiarism! What you're reading here is from her, from the voice of a woman speaking for the collective Feminine...

"When a woman begins awakening her womb, it is often the case that the first guardian she will meet on the royal red road home to the holy grail of her deep feminine power, is...

Rage.

Not any kind of rage, no, ancient rage.

Sacred rage.

A rage that travels back in time through her lineage for every single injustice towards the sacred essential light within.

A rage that ignites a primordial recognition of how tremendously holy her life in fact is, and how profoundly that light has been dishonored through the ages.

This rage is one I know intimately, and one I have come to know as one of the primordial dragons of creation... who calls every woman to return to the temple of her own life and claim her role as The Priestess of the Sacred Flame.

As the one who is here to honor the light of her own life, of her own love.

We live in a time when for thousands of years in our puritanical conditioning that demonizes the wild nature, anger and rage have been disowned and shamed within the female expression, and placed within a sinful categorization of separate from "goodness" and separate from God.

When we awaken to the nature within us, which is elemental by its very design, we also awaken the fire.

This fire is in fact a necessary catalyst in fueling our LOVE.

For a long time we have forgotten, that anger and passion are expressions of the same elemental, the fire in our bellies that burns and transmutes density into life, and the fires of our sexuality that inspire us to create and to evolve.

Fire is what gives us the inspiration to carry on.

And so we might wonder, as women, if we ever find ourselves feeling depressed, stuck, frustrated, disempowered, disconnected from our creative impulse, shut down in our capacity to love... perhaps it is actually our own rage that must first be felt.

There are many things to be angry about in this world.

Anger is actually a healthy and appropriate response to dishonor, violation, abuse, and indifference.

But we must be conscious in how we wield this anger, lest we burn ourselves, burn our lives, and burn those we love, creating more harm that then causes us to shove the fire back down again into the underworld.

We can swing between repression and explosion.

The key is... feel your anger.

Inside of you. Trust your anger. Apprentice yourself to your anger. Receive your anger as your medicine. Let this medicine show you in fact how enormous your capacity is as a woman to LOVE.

Undoubtedly the most powerful way we can work with this fire and the rage that it contains, is through dance. Dance provides us a space to fully embody and express VIOLENCE in a way that causes no one and no thing harm.

In a world where for thousands of years women have been taught to repress this anger, we have been far more vulnerable to violation, assault, enslavement, and oppression that has kept the full magical force of our LOVE from unleashing out in service for the healing of humanity.

To be the yummy lover Goddess that our world has exalted, to be the divine feminine, we need to also be the fierce warrior Goddess that our world has demonized, and the deep dark feminine lava monster who in fact creates the world."

Does this resonate with you?

How is your relationship with your Sacred Rage?

How do you tend that fire in yourself?

I've been dancing.

I've been letting my hair down under the moon.

I've been facing my shadows, drawing a battle-cry up from deep in my womb, letting it ricochet down my legs and into the Earth.

And I've burned. I've burned down memories of shame and despair.

And I've burned those I've loved.

There is a way to let your fire burn down all that is not-true, without burning down the things you want to keep.

There is a way to hold those responsible accountable - without smothering their light as well as yours.

Dance.

Dance your heart out.

Dance like it's all you've got.

The Feminine (in all of us) has been hiding underground for too long. She is demanding that we rise.

Are you ready to rise?

How will you rise?

Will you begin to chart your cycle?

Will you begin that new project or career that you've been dreaming of for wayyy too long?

Will you relinquish your grip on anything that is holding you back?

Will you allow your desires to lead you to your greatness?

I'm here if you need help answering the call.

Love,

Hadley
